As usual, Netflix is jammed full of great content so we have additional staff picks to promote: Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke star in the new teen comedy Do Revenge and we plan to do viewership.
The slow Disney exodus continues. On September 1st Quantico says goodbye and then on October 1st a TON of UTV (Disney India) films leave. This will continue through October and November as over 40 films are expected to leave. Whether Disney re-licenses them or adds them to the Hotstar hub on Hulu remains to be seen, but some of them are already on Hulu so it’s likely they’ll all go there or just disappear. We don’t really consider these films alongside the rest of Disney’s content exodus since the exact distribution rights in the USA are bit confusing. Either way, a UTV library deal is ending.
