Where did Disney+’s “discontent” team go wrong this time?
- The A&E, Lifetime, and History content ceased 2 months ago after only 2 months.
- ESPN 30 for 30 catalog re-ceased 2 months ago.
- The #Disney100 remains meaningless with no missing catalog.
- The large list of heavily requested titles since launch remains ignored as usual.
- Current Nat Geo remains slanted towards Hulu and Disney+ gets late or re-listed seasons of shows.
- The international originals continue to be funneled into Hulu approximately 10 : 1 on Disney+. Every week, Hulu receives multiple surprise dropped originals from outside USA.
- For 2nd month in a row after the shocking fluke of Doogie Howser in March, general entertainment remains exclusive to Hulu. We greatly miss Chapek’s ongoing promises to increase the general entertainment on Disney+. Iger has done tremendous harm in under 6 months.
- Recent theatrical films continue to drop into Paramount+, HBO Max, and Peacock within good time. Meanwhile, it remains a mystery yet again when Avatar: The Way of Water or Ant-Man And The Wasp Quantumania arrive. Now we’re thinking June / July.
- Their unprofessional behavior of “skipping” content Fridays rather than adding any of the 3000+ missing films and specials and shorts continues for the 4th month in a row.
Disney+ Library Averages / Totals

Additional Data Nuances:
*November 2019 totals are not included in these numbers.
**2021 and 2022 library totals inflated by episode batch strategy allowing shows to rack up multiple appearances for the same season. In 2022, Nat Geo abandoned this strategy (👎) but Disney Channel / XD / Junior still use it.
*** Removed titles that return are counted multiple times. Assume ~100 fewer titles for an exact total.
**** Duplicate titles, such as “Sing-Alongs” are counted as new titles but should not be. Assume ~20 fewer titles for a more realistic total.

Leaving Disney+ May 1, 2023
For the 14th month in a row we are exclusively able to confirm titles LEAVING Disney+. We told you April would be a bloodbath, but it was even worse than we expected with it being the largest removal month since launch (by a LOT).
This month we’re warning you that on May 1st, Never Been Kissed will yet again leave the service for a record 4th time and head to Starz (again) for yet another year…
Please follow along here as we track removals and returns.
The Disney 100 Check-In Corner
As has been the case every month, their inadequate content “strategy” means all 4 of these graphics have no improvement.

Modern Nat Geo Check-In
Due to unprecedented levels of unprofessional and work, the “influx” of Nat Geo added since November that we have mentioned each month was virtually eradicated in 1 day on April 12. 22 titles were erased that day, resetting Disney+’s overall catalog count to a number it had first reached in December.
The transition to Hulu as the unannounced new “Streaming of Nat Geo” continues weekly with surprise title after surprise title dropping into Hulu. While writing this, another one quietly arrived. It’s extraordinarily unprofessional how Disney has mishandled this, lying nonstop about content coming to Disney+ just for it to no-show and then arrive on Hulu or stay in the vault. It’s VERY sad that both Nat Geo and Disney+ communications refuse to respond to any e-mails about the issue we’ve sent since December. Basically 1-2 a month that have gone unanswered rather than respect the subscribers and explain what the hell they’re doing.
